Cut off the destination
Anticipate where a Runner needs to go; moving to an intercept point may be more useful than following their current path.
Watch escape lanes
Prioritize angles that leave fewer easy options. Adjust rather than overcommitting.
Know the current match rules
Check the current server before relying on community-reported catches, respawns or team conversion.
Intercept the destination, not the trail
A Chaser can practise anticipating where a Runner is trying to go instead of chasing where that Runner just stood. Watch which crossing approach is open and how early the Runner begins to turn. Moving to an interception angle may be more useful than tracing each movement exactly. This is general movement strategy, not proof of a particular game's hitbox or catching range.
Pick one approach to defend, then notice which escape lane you open by moving too far. If another Runner goes through a lane you left behind, adjust your positioning next time rather than assuming that you need a different ability.
Learn what a dash looks like
Some October guides describe momentum and sideways dashing, but exact keybinds are disputed. Observe how your opponents accelerate or change direction in the current match before relying on a guide's description. Practice arriving early at the likely destination while leaving space for a sudden route change. Do not assume a stun duration, invulnerability window or catch multiplier unless the current game explicitly displays it.
For purchasable role abilities, read the dated Gem price guide and the item description in Roblox. Historical screenshots are helpful references, not proof of today's cooldowns or effects.
Chaser practice checklist
- Confirm your role and read the round objective.
- Observe a Runner's preferred crossing direction before moving.
- Approach from an angle that does not give up every alternate lane.
- Review whether positioning, rather than speed, caused the failed interception.
The rounds guide records claims about crossings and catches without presenting unverified conversion rules as official mechanics.
